Update on Aria

There isn't much of an update to give. Unfortunately, we're still waiting on one document to be submitted to the USCIS. Once that's submitted, we hope we will be approved. But we can't be approved until they get it.... So that's all we know.

Unfortunately, once it's submitted, it takes a couple days to get from the Consulate to the USCIS... then IF they decide to go ahead and approve us immediately, it seems that they are taking about a week from that decision until the approval is sent out. So it's safe to say that we're AT LEAST 2 weeks away from an approval now. And if we got it in 2 weeks, we'd still have to have a new Giving and Receiving Ceremony set up, and then it would take a week to do everything else before leaving the country.

So.... all that to say.... Steve and I decided this morning that we WILL be coming home next week. We just can't sit around waiting forever with 2 children. We need to get home. So it now seems pretty inevitable that Steve will have to return to Vietnam alone for a 2nd trip. And he will have to go through that whole Giving and Receiving day again alone. Not to mention the flight home with a baby... :(
